Threonine is an amino acid and is part of a large family of acids, peptides, minerals and sugars known collectively as Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF). NMFs contribute to smooth, hydrated and healthy-looking skin. Though they occur naturally in the skin, NMFs can also be synthetically produced and applied topically.
